Ile d’Yeu

One of the advantages of staying on our campsite in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie is that you are right opposite the magnificent Ile d’Yeu!

Ile d’Yeu is a charming island with sandy beaches and unspoilt surroundings, 16 nautical miles off the Atlantic Coast.

There are rocky stretches and sandy coves, all accessible by bicycle. Just come over and relax!

Disembark at Port Joinville and you’ll be straight into holiday mode. Hire a bike and pedal away for the day!

A picnic at Port de la Meule is an unforgettable experience. To explore the rockiest coast on the island, go to the beach at Les Sabias, near the old castle.

Don’t forget to visit the Fort de Pierre-Levée that towers over Port Joinville. It once housed barracks and then a prison.
